Jing Du incense sticks offer the warm, creamy wood character of aged Mysore sandalwood. One stick lasts approximately half an hour, a small interval to return to yourself.
The name
The name comes from chapter sixteen of the Tao Te Ching and the practice of holding to stillness.
The story behind the fragrance
Jing Du takes the fragrance of aged Mysore sandalwood, associated with Mysore in Karnataka, India, as its starting point. Warm wood, a creamy softness and a lingering finish echo the stillness in chapter sixteen of the Tao Te Ching.
The leaflet imagines sandalwood travelling between places through a tribute scene. For XIANSU, the story comes to rest in something close at hand: time without hurry, for those who choose to pause.

Top: creamy sandalwood. Heart: milky wood. Base: lingering resin.
